Kamylon Capital, a private equity firm, manages the $100 million LargeLocal™ fund, which exclusively targets business owners that are largely underserved by conventional private equity funds. Kamylon™ uses its capital to acquire or invest in mature, profitable businesses.  These businesses are typically family-owned or owner-operated with annual revenues between $4 and $40 million.  Kamylon’s principals have more than thirty-five years of collective management, consulting, and investment experience with more than seventy businesses ranging in revenue between $2 million and $750 million and representing more than $300 million of equity investment.

Kamylon’s LargeLocal™ fund specializes in providing a business owner with liquidity while preserving and enhancing his or her business legacy. Our LargeLocal fund provides a variety of services to portfolio companies including, but not limited to operations improvement programs, management recruitment, competitive and strategic analysis, and other business management services. At Kamylon, we recognize that building a company requires more than capital and that transitioning ownership is not always simply a matter of price. There are often many other considerations and constituencies important to an owner. The comments and questions below highlight some of the problems on the minds of business owners with whom we have spoken:

  • How can I take my company to the next level?
  • There is a business that I’d like to acquire, but I’ve never made an acquisition before.
  • I’m too young to retire, but I’d like to diversify my net worth. I just don’t know what I would do if I sold my business.
  • I’ve hired and fired two general managers in four years… Where can I find the management resources that would enable me to step back from the day-to-day operations of my business?
  • Will a transaction with Kamylon adversely affect my employees?
  • What’s the best way to transition ownership to my children?

While this list is by no means comprehensive, it is indicative of the types of matters that we address successfully each day. At Kamylon, we pride ourselves on our creativity, flexibility, and sensitivity in responding to each consideration important to a particular business owner.
